IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDY PARKS AND RECREATION

The Haughville Riverfront Vision Plan serves as a guide for the future of a network of parks and open spaces on the west bank of the White River within Indianapolis’ Haughville community. Developed in partnership with Indy Parks, the Vision Plan includes four areas along the riverfront. Two of those include existing public open spaces: Reverend Mozel Sanders Park and Belmont Beach. The other two areas – River Station and Floodplain Forest – have the potential to become activated public spaces. The plan was developed through collaborative activities and interviews with the community during 2023 and was formally adopted by the Indianapolis Board of Parks and Recreation on April 16, 2024.
